De’smat brings dye sub inks for piezo printers
De’smat, the leading producer of office
stationery has recently introduced the
new “dye sub ink” for piezo
printers, which uses electric
nov_dec combined with piezo
crystals for spraying ink onto
the printing paper. Piezo
printing technology has come a
long way since it was first
introduced. This system of printing
has opened grounds for a variety of ink chemistry – solvent based,
oil based, solid inks and most important of all dye sublimation inks.
“Dye sublimation ink” is sophisticated ink containing special sublimation
dyes. The reason, why this special ink formulation is used with piezo
printers is its ability to get transferred to any media from thermal
transfer paper. The new dye sublimation ink opens the floodgates for
piezo printers. It can be applied to a wide range of substrates like-soft
links t-shirts (cotton shirts with a blend of polyester), mouse pads,
jackets, beverage insulators, polyester calendars, clock faces, doll
clothes, ceramic plates, mugs, tiles and polyester patches.
And De’smat brings this product for the first time in the history of
India. Presently, considered to be an expensive technology, it is
projected to become an easy to avail technology in the near future.
