Mutoh (Europe) has announced the launch of a new member in its popular ValueJet wide-format digital printer family—VJ-1627MH, a 64-inch wide hybrid system. MagnaColours develops MagnaPrint textile emboss ink
New from MagnaColours, MagnaPrint Emboss Ink is a ready-to-use, water-based printing paste, engineered for creating embossed or raised areas on printed textiles. The ink can be applied just like a standard printing paste onto desired areas of a garment. Following curing and washing processes, the ink leaves behind embossed, raised areas on the material, altering its appearance and structure. The new ink simulates the heat set embossing and pleating process by developing itself for screen-printers. When printed on to polyester, the ink expands, contracting certain areas of the fabric and creating a permanent embossed effect. This newly launched MagnaPrint is an exciting new ink for the MagnaPrint range and something brand new for the screen-printing industry.

XAAR 5601 printhead
XAAR at the InPrint Milan 2018 showed how OEMs can use its printheads to get to market faster, develop inkjet solutions cost-effectively, and better meet their customers’ needs – enabling them to get ahead of the competition and achieve more. At the show, the company celebrated the commercial launch of its XAAR 5601 printhead. Eight years in development, the XAAR 5601 is generating significant interest with its exceptionally high-resolution print at high speed, and more than 5600 nozzles, capable of jetting up to eight litres of fluid per hour. A growing number of OEMs are developing their print solutions based on XAAR 5601.
Xeikon launches Walldeco Discovery Solution
Xeikon has announced the unpacking of its breakthrough Walldeco Discovery Solution, which is convincingly affordable, cost effective short-run wall decoration production system. It was demonstrated at the Heimtextil 2019 trade fair that took place in Frankfurt, Germany from January 8-11, 2019. The complete end-to-end digital solution delivers 1200 dpi at speeds up to 300 sq m/hour. The central element in the solution is the 4-colour Xeikon 3050 entry level industrial production machine. After printing, the web varnishing module provides the option for inline varnishing of the wallpaper to enrich the effect or to protect, and at the end of the line, the wallpaper medium rewinder outputs the finished rolls ready for further logistics.
EPSON introduces direct-to-garment
solution for 100 percent polyester printing
EPSON has recently announced new direct-to-garment (DTG) pre-treatment solution for polyester garments available for its DTG Solutions – the SureColor F2000 and F2100. The easy-to-use solution keeps with the traditional DTG workflow, while greatly expanding revenue opportunities to include industries that primarily feature 100 percent polyester garments, such as team sports apparel, active wear, imitation silk and leather, and accessories. As on today the direct-to-garment industry has been limited to printing on 100 percent cotton or cotton-polyester blends. But this new polyester pre-treatment solution will open opportunities for direct-to-garment printing and customisation for new industries, as well as open doors to on-site garment customisation at sporting events.
