ColorJet India partners with Digital
Hires for dealership in Spain & Portugal


ColorJet India has recently appointed the Spanish company Digital Hires as their distributor in Spain and Portugal. Digital Hires, which was set up in 1992, is a successful and renowned distributor in Spain, Portugal and the UK, known widely for digital treatment of images and printing systems for the printing and audiovisual industry. The company will be marketing all the variants of ColorJet India’s UV, soft signage and eco-solvent printers. Digital Hires will also be providing after sales service. For signage applications, ColorJet India has the portfolio of Polo Turbo, Softjet Plus, Softjet Grand, Irisjet, Irisjet Pro and the Neptune. In the UV range are Vulcan, Verve Hybrid, Verve, Verve Mini and Verve LED, while the eco-solvent line consists of Polo HQ, Aurajet Series II and Neptune HQ.

“Our partnership with Digital Hires is a good reason to feel happy. Entering into these two important markets with such a respected company which specialises in digital inkjet products is another reason to be euphoric,” says Binoj Anthony, International Business Head at ColorJet India Ltd. He adds that the partnership is a fantastic opportunity for both the partners to provide some excellent printing technology to end users in Spain and Portugal. “After signing the agreement with ColorJet India, we immediately participated in CPRINT MADRID 2018 and set up a booth for showing ColorJet digital printers. The feedback we got was tremendous and made us realise that there is a wide market scope for ColorJet printers,” remarks Angel Jimenz, CEO, Digital Hires.




FESPA 2019 Strapline underlines boundless opportunities

3M Print Wrap IJ180mC films can apply to challenging surfaces

3M Print Wrap Film Series IJ180mC has recently been sanctioned for 3D applications. There are full series of six films from 3M, suitably designed for even more of the most challenging shapes and even deeper curves. The films all have optimised initial tack, non-visible comply adhesive, fine-tuned ‘slideability’ and easier liner release, all allowing for faster installation to recesses, curved surfaces, corrugations and rivets, without snapping back. As 3M IJ180mC-10, IJ180mC-114 and IJ180mC-120 films are all excellent 3D conformable vehicle and boat wrap cast vinyl materials, they each have their own stunning finish.




RICOH acquires software company ColorGATE Digital

RICOH has announced that they have reached an agreement to acquire ColorGATE Digital Output Solutions GmbH (hereafter ‘ColorGATE’), a leading software provider in the printing industry with a specific competence in colour management. This acquisition is designed to strengthen RICOH’s growing industrial printing business. Founded in 1997, ColorGATE, based in Hannover, Germany, has been supporting the printing industry for over 20 years by providing software for the wide-format and industrial printing sectors. With its extensive customer base ColorGATE is the European leader in industrial printing software. It has unique colour management technology to support printing and decorating a wide variety of materials used for packaging, floor and wall coverings as well as textiles and signage.




MIMAKI becomes founding member of 3D print consortium

MIMAKI Engineering has announced that they become one of the founding members of the ADAPT (Additive and Digital Advanced Production Technologies) consortium launched by the renowned Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) ADAPT is a consortium directed by Professor John Hart, who leads the MIT Laboratory for Manufacturing and Productivity. With the aim of supporting the advancement of the additive manufacturing (AM) industry, ADAPT will promote research and education for next-generation manufacturing technology based upon AM processes, which includes 3D printing.




SAi promotes Gudrun Bonte to VP of Product Management

SA International (SAi) has announced the promotion of Gudrun Bonte to VP Product Management. Having established a solid career with SAi spanning more than 12 years, she draws upon a massive wealth of experience in product management and development as she undertakes her latest appointment.

Previously Product Director since 2014, Gudrun’s new role will see her assume responsibility for both the internal and external development of SAi’s software packages, among them the market-leading Flexi sign software and the CAD/CAM design solution, EnRoute. Leading a team of product managers, her remit includes the advancement and implementation of new product strategies, as well as the supervision of all software development activities.
