Esko, AVT, X-Rite and Pantone combine strengths in colour

Esko has announced that they have joined forces with Danaher sister companies AVT, X-Rite and Pantone to integrate its automation and collaboration solutions, with the X-Rite and Pantone colour technology and AVT’s camera inspection solutions. These three integrations, that digitise and connect the most advanced technologies of Esko, AVT, X-Rite and Pantone, were demonstrated during EskoWorld, the annual Esko user event taking place in San Antonio, Texas (June 5-7, 2018). The integrations are designed to preserve the digital flow of data across connected systems, addressing market demands for faster time to market and ‘Right First Time’ production in smaller lot sizes while taking cost and waste reduction into account. Automated print inspection device setup increases press uptime by 30 to 60 minutes per shift.

The company’s Over Cutter Camera (OCC) took the prize for Best Finishing Support Tool in the Finishing/Enhancement Category, fending off competition from several other manufacturers. Over Cutter Camera is innovative technology for significantly increasing cutting productivity. Fitted above the centre of the cutting bed on a Zünd digital finishing table, the optics system captures every register mark within the working area in a single image – automatically, in seconds – for data analysing by the fully supported Zünd Cut Center (ZCC) software.
