Debut edition of ISD ’11 Expo
overwhelmed with good response

Lending brisk business to every exhibitor

Compact, focused, edified… a string of adjectives delineates the maiden edition of India Sign + Digital 2011 (ISD ’11) Expo held from May 13-15, 2011 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Receiving a good visitors’ traffic of more than 8,500 industry people from far and near corners of India made the expo an eventful B2B platform where 60+ prominent exhibitors staged some upcoming ultra-innovative trends of the Indian signage industry on an exhibition floor of 5,500 sq m. Apart from the usual displays of large-format printers, CNC routers, laser engravers... crowd pullers at the expo included four Live Experience Zones with live vehicle wraps at Wrapper Zone and other attractions during the show. JYANESWAR LAISHRAM reports a summary of the event.


Organised by S.S. Events (a division of S-Media Group) with cordial support from Sign & Graphics, Delhi Printers’ Association (DPA) and Indian Printing, Packaging and Allied Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (IPAMA), ISD ’11 Expo delivered a precise aspect of growth surging in the contemporary Indian signage industry. The event set itself a key sourcing point for signage professionals as it gratified a common platform for manufacturers, distributors and others to showcase, introduce their products/technologies to a large number of potential trade buyers. Themed on ‘Something for Everyone’, ISD ’11 Expo conceptualised as an exclusive event showcasing all relevant advancements with newer applications spreading not only to signage but also to home décors, wall art, textiles and others.

Grand opening

The curtain raising of ISD ’11 Expo was performed at the hands of Ramakant Goswami, hon’rable minister of industry, labour and elections, Government of NCT of Delhi as chief guest along with other distinguished guests of honour including Vijay Mohan, past president and Badri Kumar Singh, president, DPA; Satish Bajwa, general secretary, IPAMA. “Signage industry is not only contributing to the economy but also playing a pivotal role in making our cities beautiful,” mentioned Ramakant in his inaugural address.

Mapping out the role and importance of signage to our life as well as civic amenities like road safety signs, directional signage, information signs, etc around our city or town, Ramakant signified how signage in these days has become an inseparable commodity occupying all from the sky to the ground in our surroundings. “I’m here at the ISD ’11 not to tell something but to know for myself as well about the signage as this expo stages new prospects of the industry,” he mentioned.

SK Khurana on behalf of the organisers exemplified that India is a home to more than 10,000 sign makers, emerging as a huge market for signage professionals and equipments as well as solutions providers. “Various industry sources show that India’s wide-format market stands at around Rs 6,000 crore, and it is also projected that the OOH segment alone will reach around Rs 2,500 crore by 2013. In this respect, the aim of ISD ’11 is to showcase the most innovative technologies for this booming sector and prove to be a perfect networking platform for PSPs, equipment/media manufacturers/suppliers and end users,” added SK Khurana.

Addressing the august gathering, Vijay Mohan, past president, DPA said that the Indian signage industry has been emerging rapidly, presenting new challenges for professionals, besides creating immense opportunities.

Satish Bajwa, general secretary, IPAMA mentioned that the signage industry has come of age. And he further anticipated that the expo is quite dynamic to double the size of exhibition floor and number of participants in its next edition.

Big showcases

Leading signage majors like Hewlett Packard (HP), Canon, 3M, AGFA Graphics, Apsom, Caldron, Gandy Digital, Mono Signs, Monotech, Negi Sign Systems, Pioneer Polyleathers, Acry Monomers, Taneja Infratech, VGS Impex, Caldron, AT Inks, among others were some of the leading star attractions at the expo. The exhibitors brought on stage a broad spectrum of signage products and technologies receiving constructive feedbacks from the visitors. The expo was designed in such a way that every visitor should be satisfied in all perspectives. Apart from the typical companies showcasing signage machines and technologies, stalls of some exhibitors like Delhi Printers’ Associations, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Exchange4Media, etc stood out to herald different facets of the printing industry. Here listed brief profiles of the exhibitors participated in the show.

3M India

Interactive, Retail and ATM Application zones were the verticals that transpired the overall presentation of 3M India at their 30x18 ft space stall. Presenting the company’s high-end range of 3M 3645 floor graphics film, IJ 8624 textured surface film, IJ 40 C wall graphic film, 3M India pulled huge crowd to their stand, where also showcased newer aspects like ATM wrapping materials, innovative one-way vision films, among others. “It makes sense to be at ISD ’11 Expo because this is the right place where we can build our brand image,” said Ayaskant Mohanty, brand manager, display & graphics, 3M India Limited. He further asserted that the crowd of people visiting the exhibition are found to be the ones they had expected. “We are satisfied with the relevant visitors from banking, retail and other sectors,” he added.

Ace Infotex

All that components required in the time of wear and tear of printers were showcased at the stall of Ace Infotex, an Ahmedabad-based one-stop-shop for all spare parts of a wide range of large-format printers. Liyu printer filter, Infiniti filter, DGI vacum, Infiniti sub-tank, Wit-Color pulley, InkJet connector, Konica PCI card and lots more are what Ace Infotex offered. “You just name it, we deliver all,” proudly said Vikas Diwan of Ace Infotex. He further mentioned that visitors thronging the expo were excited to know the company’s volume of service. He also informed every visitor that Ace Infotex would soon be a distributor of wide-format printers.

Acry Monomers

A mammoth presentation at the stall of Acry Monomers India Pvt Ltd was an incredible set of Acri-Sol X-128 printer with XAAR printheads and Acri-Sol K-14 with piezo-electric Konica 512 printhead. The two printers attracted a huge crowd enquiring about the versatile machines compatible with a range of medias. “We received tremendous enquiries on these machines which we can later on convert into business,” mentioned Manish Aggarwal of Acry Monomers India Pvt Ltd.

Aesthetic Multimedia

Presentation at Aesthetic Multimedia’s stall was all about designs and images that can be used as graphic designs in production of any sort of signage. Prices ranging from Rs 200 for a single DVD upto complete package worth Rs 1,000, ready-to-use designs, high resolution images, fonts, clip arts, software tutors were selling as hotcakes at the company’s stall during the expo. “Our products are imported mainly from South Korea and China,” said S Sivakumar of Aesthetic Multimedia.

AGFA Graphics

Print samples of its Anapurna, Jeti, M-Press Tiger and Dotrix printers set the stall of AGFA Graphics one such corner where no visitor would turn away without dropping in a while. “Our presence in this show is for the promotion of these line of products,” said Manesh Shetty, manager - marketing & sales (SAARC), AGFA Graphics. He further mentioned, “Though none of our machines showed physically, we informed visitors accurately with appropriate info on the specifications of the machines and print samples. Manesh informed that ISD ’11 Expo received a good number of genuine visitors. “Though this being the first edition, S.S. Events organised it in a very exclusive manner. All the visitors to the show are very authentic,” he confirmed.

Aluco Panels

Aluminium composite panels of 2 - 5 mm, a varied range of printable ACP sheets, which are applicable both indoor and outdoor displays were the main displays at Aluco Panels Limited’s stall. Also the company’s showcases that impressed visitors included their dazzling metallic, wooden finish and other incredible textured printing materials. Referring the show’s unique stature, Deepak Pandey, director, Aluco Panels Limited remarked, “Every visitor at this show is very related to the industry. Even the exhibitors are very exclusive as it’s not that a stall selling flower vase is located next to us – which happens in many expos.”

Amitoje Creations

Created to catch a new trend in the path of innovative signage, Amitoje Creations found ISD ’11 Expo to be a right spot where the company could impress the industry people with their groundbreaking sign systems. Block-out signage at the company’s stall was one such piece that instilled everyone at the show for an enquiry. Other products on display at the company’s LED-illuminated stall consisted of 3D signs, direct printed glasses, LED boards, single/double-sided prints, among others. “Our display of an extra-large size backdrop crafted with router cut wood design with embedded LED lights impressed a huge number of visitors at the show,” mentioned Kuljeet Singh Juneja, CEO, Amitoje Creations. Also, he was extremely pleased with the show’s very focused crowd.

Amont Software & Equipment

Formerly ASE Asia, Amont Software & Equipment Pvt Ltd is a customer-focused provider of both hardware and software for PSPs and others. But the company’s main display at ISD ’11 Expo highlighted more of its Redsail vinyl-cutting plotters and lamination machines. Commenting on the debut edition of ISD, Gurdeep Singh Kohli, area sales manager, Amont Software & Equipment Pvt Ltd said the overall layout and participants of the show were amazing.

Angel India Cad Cam

A range of products comprising laser engraving systems, cutting plotters, plasma cutters, CNC routers, measuring instruments and other related printers/machines were the main showcases at Angel India Cad Cam Pvt Ltd’s stall during ISD ’11 Expo. The company’s complete solution on display fascinated a huge horde of visitors during the show. “First edition of ISD’11 Expo is a good start. I feel that this expo will grow further in its upcoming editions,” said Anil Kumar of Angel India Cad Cam Pvt Ltd.

Apsom Infotex

“We are happy to meet customers from far off places like Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, West Bengal, etc, who had come all the way to visit the first edition of ISD,” remarked M S Dadu of Apsom Infotex Ltd. The company presented its popular line of printers, such as Roland VersaCAMM VS-640, Versa Art RS-540S and Neptune ColorJet printers. Triumph of the company during the show was that three Neptune ColorJet printers have been booked. Ravi Agarwala of Apsom Infotex rated ISD ‘11 as one of the exclusive signage shows ever organised in the Indian subcontinent.

Apsom Technologies

One of the colossal exhibits at ISD ’11 Expo was the stall of Apsom Technologies (India) Pvt Ltd where seven different printers presented a complete range. Three Mimaki JV 33 Series printers, three FLORA with Spectra Polaris printheads and Mimaki UJF-3042 UV-LED flatbed tabletop printer were the products on displays at the stall. Sanjay Mishra, manager-sales & marketing, Apsom Technologies (India) Pvt Ltd mentioned that the feedbacks received from the visitors during the show really impressed them. “We received a good number of serious enquiries concerning our range of printers,” he added. Flaunting at the company’s stall also included the printed fabric samples, attracting huge crowd from the relevant segments.

AT Inks

Showing its experience of over 40 years in various areas of colour technology, AT Inks marked its vital presence at ISD ’11 Expo. Deep knowledge and experience with various substrates like paper, textile, flex, PVC, vinyl, backlit, frontlit, clear vinyl, reflective and other such medias, AT Inks presented its range of products in a big way at the expo. Referring the show as a good network for potential visitors, Saurabh Goswamy of AT Inks appreciates ISD ’11 Expo. Autotisement/ Social Change Management Pvt Ltd

First of all, the name ‘Autotisement’, derived from the concept of advertisement on auto rickshaw taxis, impressed every passer-by who caught the first glimpse of Autotisement’s stall at ISD ’11 Expo. Formed in collaboration between Nyaya Bhoomi—the first organisation to use auto rickshaws for advertising in an organised manner—and Social Change Management Pvt Ltd, Autotisement runs a fleet of three-wheeler taxis across the city of Delhi. “This simple and mobile advertisement is our commitment to help auto rickshaw driver’s community,” said Rakesh Agarwal, director, Autotisement. Also, the company associated with ISD’11 Expo as one of the outdoor media partners.

Caldron Graphics

Yet another crowd puller at the ISD ’11 Expo, Caldron Graphics attracted a number of visitors to its stall where staged a line of popular printers including Crystaljet CJ 1000, CJ 3000 and CJ 6000 along with a Crystal Laser Sign machine. Also included in the overall attraction at the company’s stall was a gallery showing different brands of the company’s wallpapers. Big achievement of the company during the show was that around 7-8 printers had been booked. Rajat Mitra, director, Caldron Graphics mentioned that the overall footfall during the expo was really impressive as this kind of event can augment business for everyone. “Since there were altogether serious visitors, we could devote quality time with them and thus got a good number of enquiries,” he added.

Canadian Specialty Vinyls

Another Indian manufacturer of PVC flex and vinyl, Canadian Specialty Vinyls producing around 6,000 tonnes of materials per month, the company had its spectacular presence at ISD ’11 Expo howcasing its media range of 200-250 gsm with a newly introduced Excellent 340. “Our widely demanded Quick Print brand is designed for both backlit and frontlit applications,” said Avnish Gautam, general manager, Canadian Specialty Vinyls. ‘Fantastic atmosphere’ was the reply from Avnish when asked about the perspective of the show.

Canon India

Flawlessly designed stand was not the only thing that Canon India did to impress visitors during the ISD ’11 Expo. The company caught the attention of everyone passing their stall as they introduced Océ Arizona 360 GT UV-curable flatbed printer with white ink options. Running at the high definition print speed of 6.6 sq m/hour, the printer is designed with 6 - 42 picolitre droplets, 318 nozzles, capable to produce dazzling lenticular prints and compatible with roll media. “Our introduction of the Oce’ printer during this expo is not only for the Indian market but also for entire Asia,” revealed Rajeev Tewari, director, Wide Format Imaging Division, Canon India.

The line comprising other machines like imagePROGRAFT iPF 750, imagePROGRAFT iPF8300, Oce ColorWave 600 showcased at the Canon stall were also objects of attractions during the expo. “Though compact in size, ISD ’11 Expo is well organised, standards have been maintained as visitors feeling more comfortable in the smaller show like this,” said Benedikt Declerq, product & consulting manager, Display Graphic Systems, Oce’ Malaysia Sdn Bhd. He added, “The application areas like the Car Wrapping Zone were truly interesting. The show had the right mix of hardware, media, ink, etc. I wish the next edition should have a few educational seminars as well.”

Colormate Digital

Known widely as a complete digital house, Colormate Digital finally proved its completeness in signage during ISD ’11 Expo where the company unveiled a gamut of e-LITE products from Smart Lite, Z-Series and others. The product range on display were crystal light signage, block-out signage in unique LBS (LED block-out sign) technology, ultra slim snapon signage, safety and directional signs in LED modules, table top POPs, bottle glorifiers, illuminated X-ray frame, etc. “ISD ’11 Expo is the first exhibition of its kind we ever find ourselves fully satisfied in the span of last 12 years,” said Sandeep Bhutani of Colormate Digital. He vowed to the organisers for their courage to instigate such a productive expo.

Computer World

Readymade designs, graphic images, master clips and others were some of those attractive offers at the stall of Computer World. The company deals with DVDs containing all those basic requirements in graphic designing, such as graphic backgrounds, logos, vectograph pattern elements. “We offered our products with special prices during the expo,” said Rajesh Bhimani of Computer World. He witnessed the visitors taking keen interest in their DVDs/books put on display/offer.

Envoys Digital Media

Giant LED video screens, token displays, bank displays, LED clocks, LED moving displays, LED signs and VMS were the products that attractively illuminated the stall of Envoys Digital Media, pulling every visitor towards it. The company offered giant LED screen of 50x30 ft in size. “We developed our products using imported components,” stated Devendra Kumar of Envoys Digital Media. He was happy to take part in the debut edition of ISD ’11 Expo, which he expected to be bigger next year.

Enventa Energy Systems

An unavoidable partner for everyone, Enventa Energy Systems Pvt Ltd deals with online UPS systems for wide-format printers as well as other machines like CNC routers, engravers, etc. “Designed with the capacity to deliver 40 KVA, our UPS systems maintain constant voltage, power frequency,” mentioned Manish Verma, director, Enventa Energy Systems Pvt Ltd. The company confirmed five orders during ISD ’11 Expo along with various enquiries.

First PaperIdea India

A marketing, consulting, and software company revolving around to make print and printers profitable, First PaperIdea India Pvt Ltd participated in the ISD ’11 to set its corporate identity perceptible to a new crowd. “But things turned up better than what we expected as our participation in the show ended up with securing good number of serious leads which could convert into real sales within a month or so,” said Anuj A Mehta, CEO, First PaperIdea India Pvt Ltd. The company runs two divisions– PaperBind and PaperIdea as the latter deals with only software solution.

Dash – new Optimus MIS System software for digital and creative media companies was a show stealer at the expo. Also new PaperBind adhesive system designed for mounted boards, foam boards, etc had fascinated huge crowd. Other products on showcase included PaperBind Pressure Bind 150, PaperBind Foil Press 7, among others. “ISD ’11 pulled visitors who are considerably very responsive,” affirmed Rohit Panchal, director sales, First PaperIdea India Pvt Ltd. He added that the ‘Live Experience Zones’ at the show were pretty good for newcomers.

Fotolaminate

It’s not just lamination, but cold lamination technology that Fotolaminate presented at the expo. CODAMLAM Jet is a pneumatically controlled cold lamination and mounting machine, designed for a difference in signage applications. “This versatile laminator can even apply pressure sensitive films on any surface,” mentioned Rajeev Vig of Fotolaminate. He further added that the signage exhibition like ISD ’11 Expo offered a right platform to showcase their products.

Gandy Digital (India)

A direct business operation of Gandy Digital Inc in the Indian subcontinent, Gandy Digital (India) presented its ‘pred8tor’– high definition production class UV flatbed printer with roll-to-roll option during the ISD ’11 Expo. Chandan Mishra of Gandy Digital (India) mentioned that the expo was a platform to interact with the users and their expectation familiarising them on the product advantages and benefits of ‘pred8tor.

Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology

All that Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology heralded to the visitors at ISD ’11 Expo was their courses and curriculum of BE in printing. Gratified with visitors’ feedbacks, Anjan Kumar Baral, in-charge, Department of Printing Technology, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology said that they gained dual opportunities by participating in the expo, “First, our faculty and students could update their knowledge. Secondly, a lot of companies contacted us for placement opportunities, which in a way could bring new fields to our passing out students.”

Hewlett Packard (HP)

Occupying an impressive area of 200 sq m to accommodate its range of high-end printers like HP Scitex FB500, HP Scitex LX800, HP Designjet Z6200 and HP Designjet L25500, HP India’s stall at the expo was one of the most lively corners where staged perceptible live demos of the printers. Also displayed at the company’s stall were a range of FOAM line (PS foam centred board bonded with white paper liners) and FOAM plast (PS foam centred boarded with rigid PVC liners) from 3A Composites India. Both the HP Scitex FB500 and HP Scitex LX800 were sold during the expo.

Puneet Chadha, director - Graphic Solutions Business-Imaging & Printing Groups, HP India mentioned that ISD ’11 Expo has been an interesting avenue for the company to be part of and showcase their flagship range of Scitex and Designjet printers. “Our highlight was Latex technology printers using water-based inks which would enable PSPs and users to GO GREEN,” he added. Referring the overall presentation of the show, Imtiaz Batkoo, country category manager, Commercial Large Format Printers Imaging & Printing Group, HP India remarked, “The show is perfect in terms of its arrangement and visibility. We are really happy to take part in this exclusive signage exhibition.”

IECS

An authorised distributor of Konica Minolta, International Electronics & Communication Systems (P) Ltd (IECS) brought on stage a string of Konica Minolta models, such as C200, C220, C280, C360 and C450. The entire product range showcased quality colour photo printing, photo copying on any kind of papers (60-300 gsm). “USP of this show is that everyone coming to our stall is very enthusiastic about the products and technologies on display,” said Radha Rani Singh, asst manager, IECS.

Infinity Digital Solutions

Among those exhibitors who stole the show during the ISD ’11 Expo included Infinity Digital Solutions Pvt Ltd. This leading company in the Indian digital large-format printing market presented its impressive range of printers, viz. Infiniti 320 solvent printer and 180C eco-solvent printers at the stall. “The huge crowd thronging our stall is a group of potential customers which can be converted into good business later on,” said Sandeep Bhatia of Infinity Digital Solutions Pvt Ltd. He also appreciated the show’s potential to pull a relevant horde of industry people.

Inflatable Ideas

Impeccably detailed inflatable characters and mascots were what it donned attractively at the stall of Inflatable Ideas. This Secunderabad-based company is known for its close association with big events like XIX Commonwealth Games New Delhi, ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, etc to provide inflatable signage products. The company’s stall at ISD ’11 Expo flaunted its trendy range of inflatable costumes, characters, mascots, POPs, etc. P Nagaraj, managing director, Inflatable Ideas said that their participation in the show was quite fruitful with a good number of enquiries received from the target customers.

JB Art Studio

A leading player in the world of channel letters in India, stronghold of JB Art Studio at ISD ’11 Expo was its unique exhibit of automatic channel letter cutting/bending machine Accu-Bend. Waterjet cutting as long as broad range of quality LED modules and accessories were also in the company’s product line that showcased during the expo. “I find this expo unveils with a good start. The visitors have been excellent,” said Gulshan Ahuja of JB Art Studio.

Knowell Corporation

Poli-Tape digital printing media range was the crowd puller at Knowell Corporation. In fact, the company’s product portfolio consists of a perfect array of the most sought after films, such as monomeric and polymeric PVC films, electrostatic monomeric PVC film, cling transparent gloss, lux lamination films, etched glass film, etc. “Live Experience Zones at ISD ’11 Expo proved to be really meaningful,” opined Kedar Dighaskar of Knowell Corporation, Mumbai.

MPD (Magson’s Printer Depot)

Showcasing its Magson line of printers, such as H8 Super Box Machine with Konica printheads and newly introduced Eco 1650 printer, MPD received good crowd swarming around its stall. “In this expo, we are presenting our range of solvent and eco-solvent printers which are designed suitably as per the requirement and affordability of the Indian customers,” said Vishal Magoo, director, MPD (Magson’s Printer Depot).

Mono Sign Systems

A myriad of LEDs was what the stall of Mono Sign Systems spotted during the ISD ’11 Expo. Manufacturer and distributor of LEDs, LED modules, LED stripes, LED signage, SMDs and lighting components, the company presented all of its range at the show.V Series (versatile module), Channel LED 5, Apollo, Great White 3, FlexiBrite (flexible LED tubing), etc were some highlights of what the company showcased at their stall. “Our main target segments are signage and petroleum industry,” said Manish Aggarwal of Mono Sign Systems, mentioning further that their presence at ISD ’11 Expo was good and profitable.

Monotech Systems

Pixeljet Polaris 3300 with Spectra Polaris printheads, Pixeljet Konica 3300 with Konica KM 512L printhead, StellarJet K72UV, a primary choice for the UV market...these were the main attractions at the stall of Monotech Systems Limited. Being one of the most crowded stalls at the show, the company pulled a good number of visitors, which in turn resulted in four orders booked. “We are really delighted with the overall response from the visitors who brought us new business leads,” said Manoj Kumar Garg, product manager, Monotech Systems Limited.

Negi Sign Systems & Supplies

Success story of Negi Sign Systems & Supplies Co at ISD ’11 Expo was the selling of the company’s seven printers during the exhibition. NegiJet Polariz 3300, NegiJet PJ 2214 solvent printers and Mutoh Valuejet 1604 (single printhead) 1618 (dual printheads) were the main products putting on display at the company’s gigantic stall. Girvir Singh Negi of Negi Sign Systems & Supplies Co praised S.S. Events for its endeavour to bring out the ISD Expo in a much authenticated manner in their first attempt. “We would be extremely pleased if the timing of the show could be scheduled in winter next year,” he suggested, guaranteeing the visitors’ traffic to the show would grow tremendously in the next edition.

New Sign Graphics

Trivision boards for both indoor and outdoor uses, scrollers and LED slim boxes were the objects of attraction at the stall of New Sign Graphics (India) swarmed by visitors all the time in all days during ISD’11 Expo. The company is known for its import quality signage products. “We have received tremendous enquiries, which had been pouring in right from the first day,” said Ashok Ganotra of New Sign Graphics (India), New Delhi.

Pashupati Enterprises

Diversity in multiplicity was one unique trait of ISD ’11 Expo. Pashupati Enterprises stood out district with unique presentation of its products range comprising display tents/canopies, banner stands, umbrellas, promo tables, LED-slim light frames, backdrops and flag pole stands. “We are introducing some innovative flag poles during the show. This new concept of signage is now picking up fast in the Indian market,” said Prabhjot Sethi, managing director, Pashupati Enterprises. He added that they received enquiries from select customers turning up in search of the kind of products showing at their stall on the very first day of the event.

Pioneer Polyleathers

One of India’s leading manufacturers of flex and PVC materials, Pioneer Polyleathers Pvt Ltd had its spirited presence at the ISD’11 Expo. Showcasing their popular media brands – Premium Flex and Digiflex – the company pulled a mix crowd comprising its existing clients as well as others enthusiastically embarked upon the Pioneer brands on display. “We are happy to be part of this show as we are fully satisfied with the crowd turning up here. They are the kind of visitors we expected and their presence makes the show quite meaningful,” pronounced Sanjeev Kumar Singh, manager, corporate communication, Pioneer Polyleathers Pvt Ltd.

Designed to generate profits fast from short-run colour printing onto the widest possible range of substrates including coated and un-coated stocks, fibre-enhanced papers and boards up to 512 gsm, textured canvas and metallic stocks, range of CP-2020 digital printers was the main highlight at the stall of Pressline India Private Limited/Intec during ISD ’11 Expo. “Even if it’s being the first edition, this show has been organised perfectly. I hope that the expo will be growing double the existing size in its next edition,” said Satish Bajwa of Pressline India Private Limited.

Rakesh Press

Known for its prominent stance for printing a heap of leading magazines, Rakesh Press explores every nook and corner of the printing industry. So was the reason why the company took part in ISD ’11 Expo. The company took the privilege to showcase its product range of Stick On, stationary items and others at the show. “We are very delighted to meet good number of potential buyers at this show,” Ramesh Kaper, asst marketing, Rakesh Press.

Reprographics India

Repro Book Scanner (RI-C 2011A2); Colortrac SmartLF scanning solutions; KIP high-definition printer cum scanner and copier, KIP Color 80 LED wide-format printer, etc were the main products showcased at Reprographics India’s stall. The company presented unique line of products targeting select section of customers. “Of course, pools of visitors to the show reacted to our presentation with keen interest,” commented Bhawna Raman, manager, business development, Reprographics India.

RSG Solutions

Provider of Apple software, world’s most powerful operating system, RSG Solutions set itself as a significant player providing special requirements to its customers. The company participated in ISD ’11 Expo with peculiar showcase of a unique range of printing and finishing machines including Epson Stylus WT7900, ADL ribbon printer, CB 650D thermal laminator and others. The company closed five deals of their products during the show. “We would like to thank S.S. Events for their efforts to put up such a prolific exhibition,” said Siddharth Jain, senior manager sales, RSG Solutions Private Limited. He further added that the management, space allocation and overall presentation of the show were really good.

Satyam Acrylic Plastics

Illuminated with the LED products on display, Satyam Acrylic Plastics (Pvt Ltd) mesmerised every visitor to the show. Compact but impressive stall of the company showcased LED display modules, stripes, RGB modules, tri-colour/single moving LED signs, exit signs, LED edged lights, aluminium boxes and lots more. Concerning the company’s success, Abhijeet Bose eulogised the overall arrangement and presentation of the expo and hoped this expo will grow bigger in the years to come.

Sedna Impex

Presenting new arrivals like SRF flex (220 gsm) and Super Star Premium (340 gsm) along with the other existing products like printing medias, such as Oracal vinyl and lamination films, PVC foam boards and inks range including Ijet and Starlite, Sedna Impex India Pvt Ltd showcased a complete large-format printing solution during the ISD ’11 Expo. Also staged at the company’s stall included Redsail cutting plotter and others. The company has branches in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Rajashthan and planning to extend overseas by opening one in Nepal soon. “ISD ’11 Expo is very well managed exhibition which can give a new acceleration to our business progression,” said Kapil Gupta, director, marketing, Sedna Impex India Pvt Ltd.

Siare Technologies

Presenting a wide range of printers, including MICOLOR eco-solvent, Challenger FY-3208H with SPT 510 Seiko printhead, Wit-Color Ultra 860, among others, Siare Technologies marked its impressive presence at ISD ’11 Expo. The company also deals with other machines including cutting plotters, CNC routers, laser engravers, etc. “Our participation in the debut edition of ISD ’11 Expo got a good experience,” said Sanjay DJ of Siare Technologies.

Sun Digital

Crowd pulling display of a range of solvent, eco-solvent and flatbed printers at its vast stall developed an impressive image during the show. Sun Digital put on displays flatbed models like Phaeton UD 181 LA/UD 211 LA equipped with Epson DX5 printhead; Phaeton UD 3208H, a flexible and economical printer; Phaeton 323 H, along with others. In his words about the expo, KN Ramesh of Sun Digital commented, “Quite an impressive exhibition, the visitors formed a very potential crowd.”

Sun Sign & Technologies

Launching Sunjet Window decorative film during the show, Sun Sign & Technologies put up a range of Star Flex medias and Blackjet Diamond inks at their stall. Advantages of the newly introduced SunJet Graphics film include its brilliant and long-term applications with 3D effects. “Though small and compact in size, ISD ’11 Expo has been well organised and is at par with any international show in terms of smartness, layout and spacious enough to walk around”, eulogised Adrian J Peirse, director-Intech Digital Technologies Limited, Hong Kong, manufacturer of Blackjet Diamond inks. In addition, Navneet Gupta, vice president, Sun Sign & Technologies gratified ISD ’11 Expo as a well managed show.

Suncolor Display

Aesthetic charm at the stall of Suncolor Display Private Limited depicted the true value of the company’s range of stunning signage and display systems. Pop up, fabric banner, backdrops, roll ups, promotion counters, catalogue racks, light boxes, banner stands, A-boards, snap frames, flag poles, canopy, tents and others were the main items the company showcased at the expo. Referring the expo, Samrat Behl, managing director, Suncolor Display Private Limited said, “Good thing about the show is that it is very industry focused.”

Surindra Brothers

Stall of Surindra Brothers put up a striking range of machines, which was perfectly designed for supporting signage. This company manufactures lamination machines, circular saw, grinding machines, jigsaw machines and frame cutting machines, they showcased at the show. Also the company is known for dealership of lamination film, plastic supporters and others. “We received good enquiries on our products range during the show,” said Surinder Singh of Surindra Brothers.

Taneja Infratech Systems

A varied range of products comprising CNC routers, laser engravers, cutting plotters and plasma cutting machines from Tis MACH embelished the stall of Taneja Infratech System Inc a perfect exhibit. This New Delhi-based company – runs under the partnership of Pawan Taneja, Raj Taneja, Amit Gogia and Aman Gogia – set its showcase quite impressively at the ISD ’11 Expo. “We received three orders of our routers and laser engraving machines during the expo,” said Pawan. 3A Technologies Inc is the company’s separate division which brought a line of LED and solar lights to the visitors. Pawan also mentioned that the jumbo size LED Globe at their stall attracted visitors extraordinarily.

Tanya Enterprises

Main highlights at the stall of Tanya Enterprises were inks from InkTec, SignTec, SAM INK, which the company delivers to a number of prominent customers all across the country. They also deal with inks for high-end printers like HP, Epson, Roland and Mimaki. Also showcased at their stall was an exclusive range of backlit media, papers, fabrics and others. Dye sublimation inks have also come under the company’s ink range. “We are happy to find that there was not a single visitor to the show who can be termed as irrelevant to the trade,” said Mukesh Sharma of Tanya Enterprises.

Technosoft

Displays of imported inks from Korea, cutting plotters from China and Japan at Technosoft’s stall attracted a good visitors’ traffic. Apart from these machines, the company’s product line includes spare parts/accessories of large-format printers. Ajay Singh of Technosoft commented that ISD ’11 Expo helped them trigger new business as they sold couple of plotters during the show. “Regardless of being the first edition, this expo is very well organised,” he added.

Trinity Inks

Complete range of ‘green’ curable premium Star Lite and Trinity inks designed for XAAR Proton, Spectra, Konica, Seiko, Polaris, etc Ahemdabad-based Trinity Inks took part in the show giving an impressive appeal of its products to the visitors. Amar Patel, managing director, Trinity Inks mentioned that the layout plan of ISD ’11 Expo was really perfect as it could guide everyone to the spot where they wish to head on, without any confusion. Concerning the feedbacks from the visitors, he further asserted that the company received so many trade enquiries on the inks for Proton and Seiko. “This exhibition is indeed a productive trade event,” he appreciated.

VGS Impex India

Dazzling presentation of its ideal range of products formulated the stall of VGS Impex India Pvt Ltd a good impact to every visitor. The products that put up on display at the company’s stall included ORACAL, Redsail, Hanwa and 9 Star printable vinyl materials as well as 9 Star inks. Among those products on display, Hanwa Banner brand was newly launched, which received good feedbacks from the visitors. “But the overall enquiries about our product range had been good, which could be converted into fruitful business later on,” said Vineet Rathi, managing director, VGS Impex India Pvt Ltd.
