New Roland VersaUV LEF2-200 UV flatbed printer

Roland DG announces the launch of 20-inch LEF2-200 UV flatbed printer which inherits the VersaUV LEF series’ ability to print full-colour graphics and unique textures onto a vast array of materials and objects up to 3.94 inches thick. The added features of this new flatbed printer is that its ECO-UV inks cure instantly and stretch around corners and curves, making customizing or personalizing just about anything a breeze. Plus, enhancing CMYK graphics with premium gloss and matte finishes, White ink, or multiple layers of Clear ink are designed to create simulated 3D embossing, which has never been easier. The LEF2-200 includes improvements that make it easier to decorate everything from smart phone covers and plaques to giftware and personalized products.




MIMAKI introduces new 3D desktop
printer for signage and display applications


MIMAKI announces the launch of a new 3D printer, Mimaki 3DFF-222, designed for signage and display applications. The printer uses a plant-derived eco-plastic made from corn and potato starch and it can produce jigs and three-dimensional signage when used in combination with Mimaki’s range of LED UV flatbed printers. The new 3D printer co-branded with Sindoh, a manufacturer of 3D printers and multi-function printers based in South Korea, offers a wealth of benefits for sign and display printers. Mimaki 3DFF-222 is capable of inexpensively producing customised print jigs, which can be used to stabilise print quality when printing on flatbed direct-to-shape UV LED printers from the company’s UJF Series. Sign and display printers can now benefit with time and cost savings through efficient in-house manufacturing of colourful indoor signs and channel letters, which are 3D printed first and then decorated using Mimaki’s UV printers in LD mode.




New SAi software solutions set for launch at FESPA 2019

RICOH announces new Pro TF6250 flatbed printer

XAAR announces debut of its 1201 printhead

XAAR has announced the debut of its XAAR 1201 printhead in a range of new printers launched at two recent exhibitions in China—DPES Huaqiao 2019 Print Expo at Huaqiao International Expo Center and APPPEXPO at National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). At both shows, a number of OEMs were displaying their XAAR 1201-based printers demonstrating a wide range of applications including UV flatbed, UV roll-to-roll, eco-solvent and textile printing. XXAR 1201 is a Thin Film Piezo Silicon MEMS technology printhead suitable for a wide range of industrial applications including graphics and textiles. With 1,280 nozzles and a capability to produce print with an apparent resolution of over 1,440 dpi, the new printhead delivers high print speed and high drop placement accuracy. AXYZ Automation Group introduces
its new Infinite multi-purpose CNC router


Following successful completion of a major rebrand and restructuring initiative, the recently constituted AXYZ Automation Group has announced the first of a planned series of new product innovations— AXYZ Infinite multi-purpose CNC router. This newly launched CNC router is built on the legacy of previous AXYZ machines in terms of outstanding build quality, reliability and higher productivity levels. With a fresh design concept and a number of optional machine enhancements, AXYZ Infinite is aimed at setting a new benchmark for machine configurability, flexibility and price/performance productivity.

SUMMA launches new laser cutter focusing on textiles

Belgian manufacturer SUMMA has launched the L1810 laser cutter, advanced laser technology aimed at sportswear, apparel, swimwear, dye sublimation garments and technical textile markets. The new SUMMA cutting solutions is designed to perfectly serve the textile industry, similar as it has been serving the sign & digital market. The new SUMMA L1810, with its 1.8 m wide flatbed, is the first laser cutter introduced by SUMMA since the acquisition of CadCam Technology (CCT) in October 2018. The machine is part of the SUMMA L Series, equipped with enhanced features. SUMMA L1810 laser system is built to meet all the requirements for cutting textiles for sportswear. Processing sportswear involves sensitive and easily distorted textiles, the laser system uses contactless cutting, enabling users to process materials with high precision.

DuPont launches a new formulation
for Clear DuPont Tedlar film


DuPont Electronics & Imaging continues its commitment to innovation with the launch of a new formulation for Clear DuPont Tedlar film for a variety of indoor and outdoor graphics and signage applications. This new film from the company is designed for indoor and outdoor durability with extreme UV protection and cleanability to help remove common graffiti, stickers and other debris.
