Two new 3M industrial adhesives & tapes solutions

Two new 3M Industrial Adhesives & Tapes - 3M Scotch-Weld Low Odor Acrylic Adhesives DP8805NS and DP8810NS - are next- generation Structural Acrylic Adhesives that provide dramatic improvements over conventional high odour acrylics. In addition to providing faster curing and higher performance than conventional acrylic adhesives, these low odour acrylic adhesives reduce worker irritation and ease EHS concerns.

Suitable for use on structural framework of signs, the adhesives improve aesthetics and also reduce the potential for water intrusion and corrosion that comes with using mechanical fasteners. The new solutions were demonstrated at the recent ISA International Sign Expo in Las Vegas. Also highlighted at the show was 3M VHB Tape 5952 for indoor and outdoor applications in light box assembly, panel to frame bonding, mounting letters, etc.



First Screen-branded wide-format printer introduced

Following its premier showcase at Drupa 2012 at Düsseldorf, Germany, Screen Europe introduces Screen Truepress JetW1632UV wide-format printer. Truepress JetW1632UV is the first Screen-branded wide-format inkjet printer combining superior design and innovative technology from both Screen and its group company Inca Digital. In addition to such class-leading productivity, the printer delivers astounding print quality and supports media sizes up to 1,600x3,200 mm with maximum thickness 48 mm.



Roland introduces Soljet PRO4 XF-640

Roland DG announces its latest addition to the all new PRO4 range with the introduction of 64-inch Soljet PRO4 XF-640. This new Roland printer incorporates next generation dual printheads and redesigned take-up and pinch roller systems. It is featured with advanced features for high quality imaging, printable at the maximum speed of 102 sq m/hr and every-day real production speeds of 20-63 sq m/hr.

Dr John Mills appointed as CEO of Inca Digital

Zund's brand new Super 'Sonic' cutting head technology

Replacing the oscillating knives, Zund has introduced SonicZ, a cutting head technology that effectively cuts paper media in an exceptional manner. Traditionally, oscillating knives slow down while cutting paper-based boards, but using an ultrasonic knife would enable cutting at the machine's rated speed on corrugated sheets. SonicZ head can be retro-fitted to all Zund's cutting tables. Utilising the unique characteristics of ultrasonic cutting and high frequency oscillation, Zünd's SonicZ module offers improved cutting speeds to POS manufacturers who use corrugated and thicker core boards.



EFI's signage monitoring system

EFI unveils SmartSign Analytics (SSA), a system that automatically captures and analyses signage viewership and engagement data. Conceived and shown as a technology demonstration by EFI's Online Print Solutions (OPS) unit, SSA will help signage providers and retail marketers to get better measure and understanding the effectiveness of their efforts. A single SSA unit includes a webcam attached to a sign, connected to a computer or tablet running a partner facial recognition software and EFI's proprietary SSA software for data organisation, analysis and reporting. The SSA system's webcam and software combination detects the presence of people within viewing range and determines which of them are actually viewing the sign.

Seven new colours added in Avery Dennison's wrapping films

Avery Dennison announces seven new Supreme Wrapping Film colours which have recently been added to its product portfolio. The new colours are sophisticated additions to the spectrum of 50 cast films in matte, brushed and matte metallic and gloss colours in the Supreme Wrapping Film line. The new spring 2013 Supreme Wrapping Film colours made their debuts at the ISA 2013 in Las Vegas. The new colours include: Red Rush Pearl Metallic, Midnight Sand Matte Metallic, Blaze Orange Matte Metallic, Emerald Pearl Metallic (Pantone Color of the Year 2013 is Emerald Green), Deep Forest Matte Metallic, Quick Silver Metallic and Lagoon Blue Matte Metallic.

After its success at Lucknow, Maa Enterprise has expanded its Trinity Ink dealerships to Gwalior and Varanasi. Opening of the two more flagship branches in these two cities has enhanced the company's exclusive coverage of northern and central Indian regions. "We received a good response from the attendees gathered at our twin inaugural functions held in Gwalior, followed by Varanasi," said Pooran Kukraja of Maa Enterprises adding that the gathering at Gwalior witnessed some end-users came from the neighbouring cities.
