Gulf Print & Pack’11 witnesses good turnout

Drawing a huge crowd of 8,187 visitors from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region as well as other parts of the globe, Gulf Print & Pack 2011 successfully brought on stage a line of newly introduced machines. Held at Dubai Airport Expo from March 14-17, 2011 with a broad focus on commercial and packaging printing, this expo gave some large-format printers a good chance for showcase. Anine percent increase against the visitors’ traffic of the previous edition confirms Gulf Print & Pack’s undisputed status as one of the leading printing events in the MENA region. This expo was notable for its strong sales on the show floor. Heavyweights of the printing industry, viz. Hewlett Packard (HP), EskoArtwork, Kodak, Canon/Oce, among others flaunted their products and services, staging live demos of machines.

One of the many highlights during the show was the afternoon seminar programmes on the latest technologies, opportunities and wider reach of digital printing. The success of the show was reflected in the strong demand for space for the next edition as 56 percent of the available space had already been booked on the last day of the four-day show.



Opportunities shine at LED Lighting China 2011

Advances in the contemporary Chinese signage market are emerged from different verticals including LED segment. This has been evident in the recent LED Lighting China expo held from March 01-04, 2011 at China Import and Export Fair Complex, Guangzhou. SIGN & GRAPHICS gives a brief account of the expo.


LED Lighting China expo 2011 marked a successful execution of a diverse array of LED applications. The expo delivered new technical advances and opportunities of LED lights and neon to the signage industry. Golden Gateways Tours in association with Sign & Graphics organised a trip for a team of around 20 delegates from India to the international expo attended by huge crowds of visitors from all over China and other overseas countries. Members in the visiting team comprised representatives from different companies including distributors, PSPs, sign makers, etc.



Print China 2011 gets growing

Everything grew bigger at the second International Printing Technology Exhibition of China – ‘Print China 2011’ held from April 09-13 at Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Center, PR China. Observing increases in both exhibit area and visitor traffic this year, this expo pulled a crowd of 140,000 visitors from 18 countries to its exhibits carried on a floor measuring 120,000 sq m. Entire exhibition floor of Print China 2011 was clustered into ten different sections to showcase a diverse range of activities including inkjet printing, screen printing, textile, art works, educational and others. Demao Wang, chairman of organising committee of Print China 2011 asserted, “This show is a grand gathering of the international printing industry, presenting new ideas, new directions of technology development and new fields of printing applications.”

Hewlett Packard (HP), Agfa, Canon and some others showed up at the expo with their expanded graphics arts product portfolio. HP’s Graphics Solutions Business helped those looking for higher ROI, increasing efficiency and better content during the expo. In fact, the solutions serve diverse needs of the graphics arts community.



9th edition of Sign India concludes fruitfully

Showcasing an insight of both outdoor and indoor segments of the country’s signage industry, Sign India 2011 staged a broad range of printers, LED lights and in-shop display items during the expo held from April 8-10, 2011 at HITEX Exhibition Centre, Madhapur, Hyderabad. The three-day exhibition was carried out concurrently with LED Show 2011 and Shop & Showroom Expo 2011. SIGN & GRAPHICS gives a glimpse of the parallel expos.


Business Live yet again brought on stage a broad range of innovative products and technologies in its recently concluded edition of Sign India 2011 expo. The 9th edition of the expo was considered to be a prospective platform where congregated a horde of Indian and international signage companies dealing in machines, materials, POPs and other display items. Caldron, Ess Dee Nutek Infinities, Graphics Technologies Sign Park, Mehta Cad Cam Systems, Crystal Digital Solutions, Cache Peripherals, JX Enterprises, etc were some of the prominent show stealers during the expo.

Exhibiting digital, solvent, eco-solvent and flatbed printers, cutting plotters, laser engravers, CNC routers and others, Sign India 2011 pulled huge crowds comprising those from other allied industrial segments like LED lighting and in-store displays. LED Show 2011 and Shop & Showroom Expo 2011 held concurrently with the Sign India 2011 showcased new opportunities in LED segment and in-shop displays like POPs, demo tents, videos wall and lots others.
