TechNova launches new affordable inkjet PVC vinyl
It is a known fact that PVC based vinyl is far superior to PP or PET based media when it comes to poster applications, as it adheres well to curved surfaces. But, it was not quite popular due to its exorbitant cost, but not any more.
To satisfy the need of PSPs for affordable PVC based vinyl media, TechNova has recently launched a revolutionary media called - NovaJet PhotoMatte PVC Film 100 SA (also known as VME 3564). This new media has a self-adhesive PVC film base coated with a matte ink-receptive layer for inkjet printing. It is fully compatible with water-based dye and pigment inks for printing with wide variety of inkjet printers. The ability to print with pigment inks renders it useful for window displays where the print is likely to be exposed to sunlight.
The media has very strong adhesive properties, and due to its inherent qualities, maintains its stiffness and stays in place much longer as compared to ordinary PP or PET based media. It is reasonably abuse-proof, and can withstand vigorous handling during printing, carriage and mounting, without kinking or creasing. TechNova’s new media has several other key features, which include high whiteness for wide colour gamut and deep rich colours; high opacity for limited show-through; high image definition and line clarity for better resolution and sharpness of images; higher thickness of PVC film ensures better stiffness and media handling; while self-adhesive feature saves time while pasting on mounting boards.
The biggest benefit of the media, however, is its affordability. As NovaJet PhotoMatte PVC Film 100 SA is the only PVC based media manufactured in India, it has an obvious price advantage over other competitive imported products. The media, which is available in popular widths of 3, 4 and 5 feet, is marketed at an affordable price range of Rs13-15 per square feet, and this is significantly lower than the currently imported media for the same applications.
