Arlon introduces opaque matte white calendered film

Newly unwrapped DPF 4300 from Arlon is an opaque matte white calendered film of 86 micron with removable adhesive. It features with multipurpose clean removable film for an ‘easy on’ and ‘easy off’ applications. Also, it offers flexibility as well as high opacity for covering previous graphics up to three layers. DPF 4300 also provides good resistance to scuffing, tearing and abrasion to help protect graphics. The film is available in 54 inch x 50 yards. DPF 4300 is one of many new removable films that Arlon has recently released and is a great addition to the company’s Removable Digital Line.




New 126-inch SID Mercury printer

Paradigm Imaging Group introduces brand new 126-inch SID Mercury printer. The printer is available in 4-6 colour options and it boasts of the print speeds up to 807 sq ft per hour. A long-standing mainstay in the wide-format printer market, the SID Mercury is a well-built production powerhouse, utilising proven Seiko printhead technology for dynamic colours and excellent outdoor durability. Other key features of the printer include the possession of 4 or 6 Seiko printheads with 1020 nozzles, 35 picoliters. Marabu launches its first water-based ink

TexJet DX-SHE (Sublimation-Hybrid-Epson) is the first water-based ink introduced by Marabu, broadening its MaraJet line. Caldera V9 RIP sets new standards for colour and transparency control

N ew edition of Caldera V9 RIP software harnesses the latest version of the Adobe print engine, APPE 2.5, to deliver additional productivity features and refinements. Enhanced colour options, improved transparency handling and faster previewing join with practical additions to provide Caldera’s worldwide user base with the broadest functionality available in the market. Recognising the need for increased control over the print environment, Caldera V9 brings two significant updates to its already advanced Spooler module.

Significant developments in colour control and correction in Caldera V9 have specifically been engineered to save time and improve accuracy. ColorJet India launches grand-format ColorJet Impala UV 3200 printer

Nazdar releases Lyson 7470

Designed for superior performance on fluted polypropylene materials, Nazdar has introduced Lyson 7470 series ink for use in UV digital flatbed printers. Primary use of this new ink includes POP displays, durable graphics and billboard banners where flexibility and adhesion is of primary importance. Nazdar 7470 series is considered to be the best ink available with respect to adhesion and durability on fluted polypropylene and it will change people’s perception about digital large-format printing.

Popular POP substrates, such as styrene, Sintra, Dibond and foamboard, exhibit good performance with Lyson 7470 series available in one-liter and five-liter bottles. Sun Sign & Technologies introduces new Starflex self-adhesive vinyl

Delhi-based Sun Sign & Technologies has introduced a new Starflex adhesive vinyl, which is designed for excellent print results in both outdoor and indoor decorations. This new self-adhesive vinyl from the house of reputed and reliable signage media brand Starflex is featured with unique characteristics that include heat, water and UV resistance. This soft PVC film is of 100 micron thickness, available in different widths, such as 1.02 m, 1.27 m, 1.52 m and 2 m; and length of 50 m rolls.

This newly unpacked vinyl is assured for two years shelf life with one year warranty under normal use and conditions. The product is available in white gloss/matt, clear gloss/matt with white/grey back. Adhesive used on the vinyl is polyacrylate and permanent.

LexJet unpacks fully transportable graphic

Infinium, the industry’s first fully transportable graphic, from LexJet is a unique media with laminate and adhesive built into one conformable material. This media is compatible with low-solvent, solvent, latex and UV curable printers and can be applied virtually to any surface, including irregular surfaces and curves.

‘Fully transportable’ means that one can print the same material with the same image on the same printer for use in multiple applications using this special media called Infinium. Addition of the new styles 1010 Element and GF 7110 X-Out to its line of fabrics has expanded Fisher Textiles’ dye sublimation and UV printing materials. 1010 Element is Fisher’s newest awning fabric, excellent at withstanding the elements of outdoors. It is 8.5 oz/sq yd, 60 inches and 100 percent polyester. In addition to awnings, the printing material is suitable for street pole banners and patio furniture. It is very sturdy, whiter and more cost effective than the company’s other awning fabrics. It has been tested in accordance with several methods for water repellency and produced fantastic results.

GF 7110 X-Out is 6.7 oz/sq yd, 110 inches wide and comparable to Fisher’s style GF 4100 Sheeting although unlike GF 4100, GF 7110 can be sublimated. This base fabric is polyester with viscose/rayon flocking. Exclusive applications of the fabric include block-out liner and opaque single-sided banners.




Mimaki introducing world’s fastest dye sublimation printer

After the recent introduction of Mimaki TS34, Mimaki has updated its product line with the launch of the world’s fastest sublimation inkjet printer along with a new ink. Designed to enhance productivity for the textile, apparel and soft signage markets, this newly unpacked Mimaki TS500-1800 printer and new Sb300 sublimation ink are expected to be released in April 2012.

Aslan’s removable etch glass films for temporary decorations

Glass decoration films, which are normally temporary, always have problems while removing. As a solution to such problem, specialist self-adhesive film producer Aslan introduces two new easily removable etch glass films. Aslan DFR 300 is a polymeric PVC film with a fabulous etch glass effect. Compatible with all solvent, eco-solvent, UV and Latex inks, this digitally printable etch vinyl is available in 1370x50 m rolls.

And Aslan ER 150 is a glass effect film that offers the advantage of being shrink resistant. So, it allows for great looking long-term applications that remove easily and leave no residue. This product is non-printable and is offered at 126 x50 m. Both the films have a thickness of around 160 µm and to be applied dry.

Mimaki adds new feature to its UJF 3042 desktop flatbed printer

Bringing more capability to desktop LED UV inkjet printing, Mimaki has introduced new features to its UJF-3042HG desktop flatbed printer. Maximum height for printing materials is expanded to 150 mm and applicable ink colours are six-colour plus white by adding two ink slots. This printer can print directly on A3 media (420 x 297 mm). Also, it is capable to print on substrates that are impossible to use in a conventional model. The range of printable substrates, including plastic, metals and wood, continues to grow and to boost business opportunities.

Small environmental footprint of UJF-3042HG is another differentiating factor, which signifies long-life, low power consumption LED curing. With the introduction of the UJF-3042HG, not only are thicker substrates supported, but also two print channels have been added to support 6-colour printing plus white and clear inks.
