Colorjet bags special textile machines export award for 2021-22

ColorJet Group, a leader in digital textile printing machine manufacturing in India, has bagged special export award in Processing Machinery category for 2021-22 in a ceremony conducted at the 62nd Annual General Meeting of Textile Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (India) on September 30, 2022 in Mumbai.

Graced by the presence of Roop Rashi Mahapatra, Textile Commissioner, Mumbai, Ministry of Textile, Government of India as Chief Guest and T Rajkumar, Chairman, CITI (Sri Mahashakti Mills Ltd) as Guest of Honour, the award event highlighted several parameters such as the textile machinery industry size where ColorJet contributed, the total domestic demand for textile machineries during 2021- 22, that rose to Rs18,290 cr of which supplies from the domestic machinery industry amounted to Rs7,410 cr. In addition, Export of Indian TEI stood at Rs 4,291 cr in 2021-22 from Rs 2,721 cr in 2020-21.

Roop Rashi Mahapatra and T Rajkumar handed over the award to MS Dadu, Chairman and Smarth Bansal, GM-Product, ColorJet India Limited. While interacting with Dadu, Roop Rashi admired the sustainable steps on how ColorJet digital inkjet printers contribute to sustainable development process which fits into changing business environment and meeting the ever changing needs of textile printing business. She further added that huge reduction in water and power consumption can be achieved by using digital textile printing technology method and ColorJet can lead the path.

Highly skilled in negotiation, print management, textile industry, graphics, and dye-sublimation, Henry comes with a gamut of experiences of more than 35 years in sales & marketing. He holds business administration degree from Point Park University, Pennsylvania.

Before joining ColorJet India, Henry worked in various capacities in different organisations viz. Dahlgren Control Systems, Anagraph, I O Line Corporation, DGI-USA (DGI-net.com Korea), Sawgrass Technologies, Mimaki USA and lastly with Hewlett Packard Inc. as Americas Textiles Category Manager.

On the appointment of Henry, MS Dadu, MD, ColorJet Group, remarks, “The appointment of Henry is a strategic step towards preparing ColorJet textile for its next phase of growth in the USA.
